Erected in 1956, Les Roches Blanches Hotel in Porto-Vecchio embarked on its journey primarily as a restaurant, complemented by limited accommodations. Proudly rooted in its Corsican heritage, this building was meticulously crafted in traditional stonemasonry. It quickly gained a distinguished reputation for its delectable seafood cuisine, especially its fish and lobster specialties.

As demand grew, the establishment underwent transformations to meet the needs of its guests. Residential owners gradually converted the hotel to accommodate more visitors. However, in 1993, due to family reasons, the hotel unfortunately had to cease its operations.

It wasn't until 2006 that the fate of Les Roches Blanches Hotel took a new turn. Noëlle and Patrick Benedetti purchased the hotel, initiating an intensive phase of restoration work. This process of modernization and compliance allowed the hotel to be reborn, reopening its doors in August 2006.

In 2008, to better meet customer demand, a series of renovation works were undertaken. The hotel's capacity was further increased in 2015 when two additional floors were added, providing around ten additional rooms, bringing the total capacity to nearly 30 rooms. During this renovation, balconies were added to all rooms to enhance guest comfort.

The couple constantly strives to improve the hotel's brand image and customer services, with the goal of creating a familial, professional, and serene environment. Closely tied to the history of the salt marshes, Les Roches Blanches Hotel occupies a privileged position on their edge. These former saltworks, now classified as Natura 2000 and ZNIEFF zones, bear witness to Porto-Vecchio's rich past, long known as the "City of Salt." The spectacle offered by these wetlands, where the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio intertwines with the watercourse, is marked by exceptional endemic biodiversity. Glassworts and other halophytic plants populate the tidal flats, mudflats, cobblers, and pink lagoons, characteristic structures of salt production. Herons and seagulls find refuge there, bringing life to this natural tableau. The small dilapidated houses, silent witnesses of past activity, tell the story of salt workers' families who, for generations, braved the elements to harvest the white gold. Today, the salt marshes of Porto-Vecchio provide a backdrop of tranquility and serenity for hotel guests, reminding them of the unbreakable bond between humans and nature.

In addition to its historical commitment, Les Roches Blanches Hotel is also environmentally conscious. Various measures have been implemented, such as energy conservation, waste reduction, the installation of solar panels for water heating, and the use of state-of-the-art air conditioning units. For hygiene reasons, all floors are tiled, without carpets.
Les Roches Blanches Hotel is thus an establishment where tradition and modernity blend, offering guests a warm and friendly place, with a special focus on environmental preservation and the history of the region.
